Frequently Asked Questions
- What does 'all-in' mean?
It includes the fixed state fees for each service. CA LLC All-In includes $70 (LLC) + $20 (LLC-12) for online filing. No hidden fees. - How long does the process take?
We prepare quickly (usually 1 business day after receiving your info). State processing times vary (generally 3-5 business days for online filing). - Do I need SSN or ITIN to form an LLC?
For CA LLC/LLC-12, no. For EIN, you do it directly on the IRS portal with our guide if you get the 'EIN Done-With-You' add-on. We do not store SSN/ITIN. - Are you lawyers or accountants?
No. We are an administrative service for preparing and filing documents with the State of California. For legal or tax advice, consult a licensed professional. - What info do I need to start?
Desired LLC name (plus 1-2 alternatives), main business address in CA, member/manager info, and your Registered Agent in CA. - Do you ask for government portal passwords?
No. We never ask for or store any government portal passwords. All info is handled securely in our portal. - What if I make a mistake?
If before filing, we fix it at no extra cost. If already filed, a correction/amendment fee may apply. - Are there annual costs in California?
Yes. Many CA LLCs must pay annual state taxes/fees (e.g., the '$800 annual tax' in some cases). This is NOT included in our services and depends on your situation. Consult an accountant if unsure. - Do I need a Registered Agent?
Yes, it's required. The Registered Agent is a person or company with a physical address in CA to receive legal documents for your LLC. You can use your own address, a family member, or hire a service. - Member-managed or manager-managed?
Member-managed: all owners participate in daily decisions (most common for small LLCs). Manager-managed: only designated managers operate. If you have passive partners, choose manager-managed.
